Information Collection & Use

Tickets for Charity, LLC is the sole owner of the information collected on www.ticketsforcharity.com (the “Site”). Tickets for Charity, LLC collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our website.

Orders and Donations. If you purchase a product or service from us, or make a donation through our Site, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date) in order to place and order or make a donation on the Site. We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders or process your donation. If we have trouble processing an order or donation, we will use this information to contact you.

In addition, unless you otherwise elect to opt-out, we forward your name, address, email address and the amount of the applicable payment to the charity/those charities to which you have selected to direct a payment. You may receive an acknowledgement of your donation from the charity/those charities. We are required to provide this information to our partner charities in connection with the initial acknowledgement of your donation; you may, however, opt-out of receiving further communications from your selected charities at the time you place your order. After your initial order, you will have to communicate directly with each individual charity in order to update your preference for communications from them.

In many cases, ticket sources designate certain charities to be eligible to receive donation payments through our Site. If you direct a payment to a ticket source-designated charity, we may also forward your name, address and email address to the ticket source that designated that charity. For example, if a team designates its team foundation to be an eligible beneficiary on our site and you direct a payment to its team foundation for any order you make, we may forward your name, address and email to the team. Similarly, if an artist designates a charity to be an eligible beneficiary on our Site and you direct a payment to designated charity for any order you make, we may forward your name, address and email to the artist. You may, however, opt-out of receiving communications from the ticket source associated with your order by emailing us at privacy@ticketsforcharity.com within two (2) business days of placing your order. Subsequently, you will have to communicate directly with each ticket source in order to update your preference for communications from them.

Similarly, we may forward your name, address and email address to the ticket source connected to the specific event associated with your order, e.g. the artist, home team or promoter related to the event in your order. You may, however, opt-out of receiving communications from the ticket source associated with your order by emailing us at privacy@ticketsforcharity.com within two (2) business days of placing your order. Subsequently, you will have to communicate directly with each ticket source in order to update your preference for communications from them.

We will not sell your personal information to anyone.

Sweepstakes. From time to time, we may have a sweepstakes offering. If you choose to enter a sweepstakes, we require certain personally identifiable information from you on our entry form (such as name and email address). We will use this information to contact you if you are a winner in the sweepstakes. In addition, we may use this information to contact you about services on our Site. Also, unless you otherwise elect to opt-out, we may forward your name and/or e-mail address to a charity sponsor or ticket source sponsor of the sweepstakes you entered. You may, however, opt-out of receiving communications from the charity sponsor or ticket source sponsor of the sweepstakes by emailing us at privacy@ticketsforcharity.com within two (2) business days of submitting your entry. Subsequently, you will have to communicate directly with each charity or ticket source sponsor in order to update your preference for communications from them.

Communications from the Site

Newsletters, Special Offers and Updates. We will occasionally send you information on products, services, special deals and promotions. You may opt-out of receiving these types of communications by emailing us at privacy@ticketsforcharity.com.

Service-Related Announcements. We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature.

Customer Service. We will communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email or telephone.

Profile. We store information that we collect through cookies and log files to create a "profile" of your preferences. We do tie your personally identifiable information, and your order history, to information in the profile, in order to provide tailored promotions and marketing offers and to improve the content of the Site.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable). We share aggregated demographic and behavioral information about our user base with our partners and advertisers. This information does not identify individual users.

Personally identifiable information. We may share personally identifiable information with third parties, as described below:

• Agents: From time to time, we use independent agents, such as an outside shipping company to fulfill orders, and a credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.
• Charities: We share your name, address and the amount of the applicable payment with the charities to which you direct donations in connection with your purchase of products or services or donation of goods on this Site. We are required to provide this information to our partner charities in connection with your donation, and may also provide this information to a charity sponsor of a sweepstakes you have entered. You may opt-out of receiving communications from our partner charities (other than an acknowledgement of your donation from the charity) at the time you place your order. After your initial order, you will have to communicate directly with each individual charity in order to update your preference for communications from them.
• Ticket Sources: As noted above in Orders and Donations, we may share your name, address and email address to certain ticket sources. You may opt-out of receiving communications from our ticket sources by emailing us at privacy@ticketsforcharity.com within two (2) business days of placing your order. Subsequently, you will have to communicate directly with each ticket source in order to update your preference for communications from them.
• Charity Sponsors and/or Ticket Source Sponsors for Sweepstakes: As noted above in Sweepstakes, we may share your name and email address with a charity sponsor or ticket source sponsor of a Sweepstakes. You may, however, opt-out of receiving communications from the charity sponsor or ticket source sponsor of the sweepstakes by emailing us at privacy@ticketsforcharity.com within two (2) business days of submitting your entry. Subsequently, you will have to communicate directly with each charity or ticket source sponsor in order to update your preference for communications from them.

Legal Disclaimer

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.

Choice/Opt-out

We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and/or promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by emailing us at privacy@ticketsforcharity.com.

Access to Personally Identifiable Information

If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may update it by emailing us at privacy@ticketsforcharity.com.

Log Files

As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the Site, to track users’ movements around the Site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.

We may use certain third-party tracking services, such as Google that uses cookies and log files to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our Site in the aggregate to gather demographic information and purchasing trends of our user base.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this Site. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our Site.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

Children
